Sending you a recent picture of my mentoring work with micro enterprises in an informal settlement in Mamelodi East, Tshwane, South Africa. This lady (standing and wearing the orange sun hat) increased her intake of chidren and income by 30% in 3 months of mentoring support! I was thrilled. I do this work funded by the Swiss-South Africa Cooperation Initiative, a leading donor in the micro-enteprise development field in SA partuclarly with young people. Best wishes to you, Jan

Here are more pictures to add to our gallery - do send in yours too!!

Very happy to send you photographs - Here I am in Darfur - El Fasher - checking if the prototype of a Donkey Ambulance will be too heavy for a donkey to pull.  By ensuring the donkey is looked after we can get people to hospital quicker ......... I have wanted these ambulances ever since i visited Mallit Hospital shortly after a young mother had died after a nightmare journey of 80  miles across the desert sands on a stretcher between two donkeys.  I am still pressing for further improvements for the ambulance - but you can imagine how much better this is than a stretcher.

There we train volunteer on how to assist person in a wheelchair (my country Indonesia is not accessible). So, the volunteers who assist us are shown how to help us better including how to do so if there is stairs, terrible roads etc.
Best regards, Cucu'
