The Thuba Makote Pilot Project: A Case Study in Transforming Two Primary Schools in South Africa as Centres of Community Life
SAADOW is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization formed by 15 women members and with a qualified social worker as Executive Director. Our society is assisting the development of Women, Children, Aged, Rural health, General awareness, Natural farming and Medicine in Natham and Sanarpatti Blocks, Dindigul District and Kottampatti Block in Madurai District, Tamilnadu. And further our society is implementing felt-need based projects with community participation in the project villages.
In 2004, Zhao Yi became Chairman of the student association at China Agriculture University. Apart from his own study and on-campus activities, Zhao Yi planned to do something practical for rural people and migrant labourers from the rural areas through this platform. Each year the university organises student tours to rural areas in order to give them an opportunity to experience a real rural life.
